I'm not typically interested in mainstream pop music, but in order to keep my finger on the metaphorical pulse of the music industry I decided to give Addison Rae's recently released self-titled album a try. I enjoyed it far more than I expected to: The songs are different enough to keep the album interesting all the way through while still sticking to a few common musical traits. The synths are addictive as f*ck and I genuinely love everything about this album. I was pleasantly surprised. The highlight for me being the single 'Fame is a gun' which -to me- seems like the perfect pop song. - C
